Film Opening vs Music Video
From our prelim, it is clearly evident that we will be
spending a lot more time filming an editing our music video compared to our
movie opening. In general filming, a music video requires time and a lot of
retaking shots. As each second must match the beat of the song we must be
stricter on the quality of our shots. The camerawork is for a music video is a
lot faster and consists of small 2 sec shots which is a change from our film
opening. This means that we will have to dedicate more time to filming and to
ensure that each shot is perfect as it will be prolonged process for a reshoot.
The basic camera movements that may have been used in our film openings will
have to become more unique to make a music video stand out.
