The Face of Eden

I like the idea of "The Face of Eden" as it creates and ambiguity with their identity. My plan would be to have a different singer or "Face" for each album, sometimes different from the voice, ranging from a child to an adult. This is similar to Sia as she also hides her identity.

This song represents our idea for the identity of Eden as Sia's identity is always hidden.

We had a name change from Inka to Eden, only because we didn't really think Inka suited our theme.

Jump Cuts

By using jump cuts we were able to create a light-hearted atmosphere.

Insert Shots

We decided to use insert shots of a money jar to show the actors progress with collecting money. We also used insert shots of alcohol bottles that were representative of the lyrics as well. This falls into Goodwin's theory that lyrics and visuals work together.

Editing Problem

We faced a few problems when editing such as making sure each cut was on beat with our footage. As we had lip syncing we had to be very careful about extending clips prior and after the chorus so that we didn't mess up any of the lyrics

RnB Editing

The way most soul/R&B videos are edited is to create a reality between the artist and the audience and then also create a fantasy for the audience to enjoy and maybe relate to – like maybe they too have witnessed this fantasy.
